Sunday, October 2nd was a very special day for our little family. As long as I've been attending
The Branch,
the church has taken two Sundays each year to dedicate to the Lord the
new babies born in the past six months. For years I've watched the
babies being dedicated and dreamed of the day when we would get to
dedicate our little one. On Sunday, that dream finally came true! We
got to take Emily up on the stage in front of the congregation and then
the church read a blessing over the babies and parents. My parents and
grandparents, as well as Lucas's sister and brother-in-law came to be a
part of the big day with us. What made it even more special is that our
best friends the Crandalls also dedicated baby David at the same time!
We have been so incredibly blessed by our sweet baby and we are so
thankful that the Lord has given her to us. It is also a wonderful
blessing to be a part of a church that believes children are an integral
part of the church and that encourages everyone to be a part of
teaching children about Jesus and encouraging them in their faith
journeys.
